Ten Questions with Toska

Toska, your client list is the who's who of the most beautiful, including Jennifer Aniston, Jenifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian , Kloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Alex Rodriguez, to mention a few, what is the number one treatment that keeps them looking so fabulous? Before an event I typically do the Toska Triple Lift which is a custom treatment that incorporates exfoliation, manual lifting and the use of various currents and quintessential serums.

1. What are core products that everyone needs to use daily? The foundation of any skincare routine has a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. A cleanser will help remove any pollution and makeup that can unbalance our skin, a moisturizer will boost the skin’s natural defenses and keep it protected, and sunscreen should be worn if you plan to go outdoors, no matter the season.

2. What is the most important thing many people forget when it comes to taking care of their skin? Many people neglect their neck area, thinking skincare just stops with the face. However, the skin around your neck needs some love, too, as not taking care of it can cause wrinkles and sagging.

3. What is the most underrated type of product? P50 Capillaire often goes unnoticed as it’s a hair product, but the skin on your scalp is just as important as the rest of your body.

4. What is the best age to start using “anti-aging” products? There is no “best age” to start anti-aging routines. Preventative care should start in your teens, by addressing issues common to that age group such as acne and oiliness. By caring for your skin and addressing its different needs as you age, you prevent many future problems.

5. How often are we really supposed to wash our face? Aim to wash your face at least twice a day, in the morning and evenings, and after any heavy physical activity.

6. What are the best products to transition into winter? Winter weather usually means dry air, so hydrating products would be best to add to your regimen. Dermo-RL, Serum TEWL, and Masque Visolatine+ are all great at providing your skin with much needed moisture.

7. How can we best maintain the results? Consistency is key- skincare isn’t just something you get into for a few weeks and drop when you’re bored with it. By caring for your skin throughout the years, you will maintain your results.

8. Any special tips that you do or recommend for your clients? There aren’t really any secrets or special tips when it comes to skincare; just be consistent and be sure to follow professional advice.

9. What are the best spa treatment(s) to do right now? Reconditioning, hydrating, and oxygenating treatments are the best for this season, as cold air can easily damage and dry out your skin.

10. If you had 3 make-up products to use what would they be? Serum de teint, Colorescience lip gloss, and L’Elixir foundation

Nantucket, with its misty harbors, salt-kissed breezes, and centuries-old charm, has always been a place where history whispers through every weathered shingle and cobblestone street. This spring, one of the island’s most beloved landmarks, the Veranda House, will once again welcome guests, rising from the ashes of a devastating 2022 fire that necessitated a complete rebuild. Set to reopen in spring 2025, the new Veranda House is a masterpiece of restoration and reinvention. Owned by Procaccianti Companies and managed by TPG Hotels & Resorts as part of the Nantucket Resort Collection, the rebuild was meticulously overseen in collaboration with the town and historic district commission to ensure that the property retained its original federal-style elegance while incorporating modern luxuries and state-of-the-art amenities. First built in 1684, the Veranda House has stood as a symbol of Nantucket’s rich maritime legacy, its wraparound porches offering a front-row seat to the island’s ever-changing seascape. The new design remains true to its original size, scale, and architectural character, seamlessly blending historic integrity with contemporary comforts. Guests will find spa-like ensuite baths in every room, featuring Carrara marble, custom fixtures, and sleek walk-in showers—a nod to modern indulgence without sacrificing classic charm. The 19 redesigned rooms, including the Grand Harborview King with its private balcony and fireplace, exude an intimate, serene luxury. Expanded outdoor gathering spaces now offer even more opportunities for guests to soak in the island’s ambiance, whether sipping coffee at sunrise or toasting the golden hour over Nantucket Harbor. “This reopening marks a significant mile- stone, not just for Veranda House, but for the entire Nantucket community. We are deeply thankful for the community’s unwavering support in bringing this iconic property back to life,” says Paul Hitselberger, EVP of Operations for TPG Hotels & Resorts. The Veranda House is not just a recon- struction—it’s a resurrection, a tribute to Nantucket’s ability to endure, evolve, and enchant. Its doors reopen as a beacon of timeless hospitality, welcoming travelers to a place where history is honored, and every detail—from the breezy verandas to the handcrafted interiors—tells a story. For those who love Nantucket, the Veranda House is a homecoming. Images courtesy of The Veranda House.
