Palette of Dreams

Turning 30 was just the nudge Tiffany Herrmann needed to begin her dream cosmetic line. She went in 100%, meaning she gave up everything she had from her HR career of 8 years to the thousands of dollars she had in savings. She had just finished her Master’s in Management and realised “it’s now or never” after having a vision for a makeup line since she was a little girl. Tiffany put her heart and soul into working with a cosmetic lab that met her standards. In 10 months, they created a fabulous waterproof liquid lipstick. She had been doing this behind her family’s back, but when they saw the passion she had for her finished product, her loving husband and father put their faith in Tiffany and pitched in to launch the company. Just under a year later, Sheree Cosmetics is thriving.

Sheree Cosmetics is family oriented, owned, and operated. The name “Sheree” was Tiffany’s middle name she dropped when she got married. However, Tiffany’s mother had loved and picked that name just for her, so in her mother’s honor, Tiffany made the business Sheree Cosmetics. Her father is currently the Chief Operating Officer and her husband is the Chief Financial Officer. They’ve been the ultimate support system and employees to this growing business dedicated to making affordable professional makeup products and giving back.

As a certified makeup artist, Tiffany has used Sheree Cosmetics on numerous notable celebrities. Shar Jackson and many others in the media are obsessed with the line. Sheree has been featured on celebrities at the Oscars and will be at this upcoming Emmy Awards. Celebrity hairstylist Jeff Hoyle owns Salon 914 in Charlotte where he carries Sheree Cosmetics. Jeff and Tiffany worked together doing hair and makeup for Rachel McCord during a Getty Images photoshoot in Hollywood.

Sheree Cosmetics began as an online shop and is now in upscale boutiques throughout the United States. Though the makeup is professional quality using all-natural ingredients, Tiffany did not want to markup the price. She wants to empower women and make professional makeup more available to all. She has gained a huge following on Instagram and YouTube as well as in New York City where her PR team is located. By the end of the year, Tiffany plans to have Sheree Cosmetics in a bigger retailer.

Tiffany now has 15 liquid lipsticks to compliment a large range of skin tones. That’s why there are three reds. “Fiery Red” is for those with orange undertones, “Scarlet Rouge” is for blue undertones, and “Lady in Red” is your bright neutral red. The lipstick will stay on for 8-10 hours so you don’t have to worry about reapplying during your busy day or it transferring onto your coffee cup. Infused with vitamin E, you won’t worry about your lips drying out either.

Then, the Dreamer and Fighter Palettes came to life. Each travel-friendly palette has 12 matte and shimmer shades. The Fighter purposefully has two blue (“Destiny” and Legendary”) and two red (“Passion” and “Rebel”) shades in order for you to mix them together and create the perfect purple for your skintone. Yet they still have enough shades so you can create a variety of looks without having to pack multiple palettes. Mica is the filler ingredient that makes her eyeshadow so pigmented. The formulas do not use talc, which is the cheap and common alternative used in most eyeshadows. Each shadow has a unique scientific formula and is pressed at different pressures in the lab. Some of the finer natural shades could be used as a highlighter on your cheekbones. Tiffany names each color based on her business journey. For example “Blessed” and “Visionary” are in Dreamer and “Encourage” and “#goaldigger” are in Fighter.

The Born to Sparkle Palette is the newest and most popular product in the Sheree line. This five-star palette has 15 shades of pressed glitter from bold metalics to bright pinks. It has sold out multiple times and will especially be a bestseller for Halloween festivities and the upcoming holiday season. The glue is in the glitter so the shades are wet to the touch and it saves you the step of using your own glitter glue. Your vibrant look will have no fall-out and will last long past the after party. Tiffany says, “A pro tip that I love to give people is to use a little spoolie to make a sharp glitter eyeliner and it looks absolutely gorgeous.”

The Sheree line also has nine of their own professional makeup brushes including a line brush with a spoolie. These eye brushes will help even beginners blend in and apply their shadows flawlessly. As far as holiday parties, Sheree has four 3D silk lashes in the line that will make your eyes pop. If you’re a beginner, the website has an informative and detailed how-to page on putting on lashes. You can wear each pair up to 40 times! Look forward to two new luxurious Sheree products this fall!

The Sheree business is extremely dedicated to supporting charities. With Tiffany’s first month’s earnings, she helped her friend’s 7 year old niece who has pulmonary hypertension, a rare deadly disease, purchase a mechanical chair for their stairs. Then they partnered with Victoria Vesce to create a Sheree lipstick trio that raised money for the American Brain Tumor Association. Victoria, once a Charlotte Hornet and Miss. Charlotte 2015, tragically got 2 brain tumors. Miraculously, Victoria is back to dancing. Since then, Sheree Cosmetics has been seen at charity events that have helped raise over a $100,000.

Tiffany Herrmann’s passion for quality makeup, giving back, and empowering women is the formula for her successful business. In the future, Tiffany will be working with other female aspiring entrepreneurs to get them on the right path. In the meantime, Tiffany wants you to remember this: “Fight for your dreams. You were born to sparkle, go for it, and shine.”

Rada, a chic new restaurant in Myers Park, introduces Charlotte to an elevated dining experience with tapas, biodynamic wines, and shareable plates. Helmed by Chef Callan Buckles, formerly of acclaimed NYC spots like Claud, Momofuku, and The Four Horsemen, the menu is a bold fusion of global influences. Owner Eloy Roy envisioned this contemporary American eatery in the former Little Spoon space, creating a cozy yet upscale 50-seat spot with mint green walls and a minimalist aesthet-ic. From a $3 Gilda skewer to a $110 sirloin, Rada’s offerings reflect Buckles’ culinary pedigree and adventurous flair. With dishes like eggplant escabeche and seabass paired with txakolina wine, Rada aims to carve out a niche in Charlotte’s emerging shared-plates scene.Rada blends fine dining with approachability, focusing on flavors that challenge Charlotte’s palate while embracing its neighborhood vibe. Highlights include crispy roast chicken with vegetable farcis and Asian-inspired touches like fish sauce and shio koji. The bar program is equally compelling, featuring a gin martini made with anchovy oil and Basque pepper brine. Roy believes Rada will resonate deeply with diners, offering something fresh yet familiar. This new spot, opened on Selwyn Avenue, invites locals to indulge in innovative cuisine and discover what they’ve been craving all along.
